20 simple one-word ideas to change your life in 2015.

A new year is the perfect chance to make some positive changes. My first piece of advice, from experience and from the heart, is to only focus on what you truly want. It may seem obvious, think about it a little more though. Do you want to change something for the right reasons, or because you feel obliged? It is less likely to work if you are not focused on the things that really matter to you.

At times the amount of advice and information available at this time of year can be overwhelming. Personally I don’t mind wading through hundreds of blog posts to find the hidden gems, I have the time. It is not the case for everyone I know, so if you are short on time and looking for some simple ways to make change that will have big impact then this will work beautifully for you.

The following ideas are designed to be self explanatory (with their brief notes) and they are big on impact. They have all played a hugely positive role in my life. Please let me know in the comments if you need further explanation on any, or if you have any thoughts to share on these at all:

Declutter – your desk, home and life.

Surrender – instead of constant worry.

Unblock – invite growth and open yourself to the universe.

Forgive – yourself and others.

Meditate – sit in silence, be more mindful.

Breathe – focus on your breath more, take a breath before you speak.

Praise – yourself and others more.

♡ Love – relentlessly and abundantly.

Donate – to charity.

Trust – in yourself, others and the universe.

Read – more of the things that light you up.

Learn – always expand your mind and your knowledge.

Accept – yourself, others and the lessons in every situation.

Unplug – take regular breaks from technology and the media.

Listen – to your inner guide, listen carefully.

Filter – choose the media and the messages you let into your life.

Release – expectations.

Laugh – more.

Move – your body more.

Nourish – choose pure food wisely.
