COLOUR is a type of therapy for me .. I need quite a lot of therapy in my days, a mix of medicinal and complementary is what works best for me and my own experience of anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress. It’s perfectly OK to explore, experiment and TALK ABOUT all of this with others, seriously. Its a dark and lonely topic at times, and the inter-webs can be a scary place, it can also be a beautiful, colourful wonderland, as you can see from these photos!
Surround yourself with colour, light and the things and people that uplift you. You have a choice to make each and every day, who and what will you allow into your space? As I have said before, several times, I choose the bright side simply because I have had enough darkness for a lifetime! Yes there is darkness in every day of mine too, there is also light and this is what I choose to focus on. What you focus on, what you worship, what you talk about .. this becomes your reality.
I scour the interwebs for the people who choose the bright side, I also read a lot of those who share their darkness. It is my hope to shine more light where it is needed most, and in the interests of keeping it real I will share snippets of my own darkness, so that you know you’re not alone. It is by no means a walk in the park for me, ever. Please don’t assume this about anyone, you never know what is going on behind the scenes for others, unless you take the time to find out.
